In November, we ran a health fair in partnership with Oakhurst Medical Center, our local Federally Qualified Health Center. Oakhurst staff and volunteers came to Willow Branch Apartments to provide our residents a number of services to ensure they are able to access affordable healthcare:
– Eligibility Screenings for insurance plans with ACA (Obamacare) Navigators
– Complete Applications for Medicaid or Planning for Healthy Babies Program
– Appointment Scheduling for Preventative Health: Physicals, Women’s Exams and Dental at Oakhurst Medical Center
– Schedule free preventative Mammogram screenings at Grady Hospital
– Sign-up for Health Education classes, Mental Health Services and to participate in Nutrition Study at Willow Wellness
– Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar Screenings with Oakhurst Med Techs
