allie2Allie Reeser graduated from Lipscomb University with a degree in Theology and Ministry to Children. She volunteered at Willow Branch tutoring when she was in high school and loved the refugee community. When she moved back to the Tucker area she was looking for a way to get involved in Clarkston. She has always had a passion for children and education, so the role of After School Director was a perfect fit. Allie has been leading the After School Program at Willow Branch since August of 2015. She does an incredible job managing 60 children every day after school, leading volunteers, helping with homework and providing fun and educational activities. Mostly, she loves these kids!

Update on After-School from Allie:
It seems odd that this school year is already half way over. It feels likallie1e it just started a few days ago! This first semester of After-School has been a whirlwind of fun. The kids come in everyday with something new on their minds weather that is homework, family or something that happened at school. The volunteers and I have the opportunity at After-School to engage them and get to know them better. Their English skills are expanding and their confidence in their ability is growing right along with it. They face unique challenges with learning in their second language and an afternoon can be spent practicing counting to 20. But the next day they run from school and come in ready to try again.
